4 more free Covid tests coming for each house: How to get them

WELLNESS

Winter season could bring the resurgence of the Covid-19 virus in several states.

Last year, around the same time, 45,000 hospitalizations were reported per week.

So, the government is allowing households to order four Covid-19 tests for free online.

It has relaunched covidtests.gov, offering four free tests to each household.

Since Sept, about 14.5 million households have ordered tests, and a total of 58 million tests shipped.

While at-home tests have a relatively short shelf life, the FDA has extended some of their expiration dates.

The tests will come from a $600 million investment in domestic test manufacturers.

The funding for the $600 million investment will come from money left from a past Covid-19 bill.
