The wait is over! ‘John Wick 5’ is confirmed to be in development.
Lionsgate confirms that scripting began as the WGA strike started on May 2, 2023.
It has now resumed following the strike's conclusion on Sept 27.
Director Chad Stahelski and star Keanu Reeves have previously addressed their potential returns for the film.
Franchise producer Basil Iwanyk provided a more promising update in November 2023.
Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne will likely return as Continental owners Winston and Bowery King, respectively.
The news comes as no surprise after the success of ‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’ on Peacock.
The series earned a collective gross of more than $1 billion worldwide.
